Proof before the editioning of the only state on fabric.
Background:
In the late decades of her life, Bourgeois created prints as holiday gifts for a small circle of friends. The fabric edition of "Feather Thoughts" was the 2006 holiday gift for her VIP list. She also created "Toi et Moi," a screenprint on fabric, as a gift in 2006.
Other Remarks:
According to Bourgeois's assistant, Jerry Gorovoy, Bourgeois often referred to her drawings as "feather thoughts" and related them to memories.
