The two additional known impressions of this state are printed on fabric and incorporated in two unique fabric works, both titled "Self Portrait" and completed in 2009. See Related Works in the Catalogue below. The impression incorporated in the first work titled "Self Portrait" in the Related Works in the Catalogue row has hand additions.
In addition to the impression of state II on paper in the Evolving Composition Diagram below, the second known state II impression is printed on fabric and incorporated in the unique fabric work, "The Waiting Hours," which was also completed in 2009. That impression has hand additions and Bourgeois's initials are stitched in the right lower margin, in tan thread. See Related Works in the Catalogue below.
Curatorial Remarks:
This impression has light staining or scorching as is commonly found in the old fabrics Bourgeois chose to use as printing surfaces.
