Background:
In the late decades of her life, Bourgeois created prints as holiday gifts for a small circle of friends. The fabric edition of "Feather Thoughts" was the 2006 holiday gift for her VIP list. She also created "Toi et Moi," a screenprint on fabric, as a gift in 2006.
Curatorial Remarks:
The plate dimensions provided are those of the impression on paper (Accession Number: 1521.2012). Dimensions may vary slightly because of hemming and stretching fluctuations.
Other Remarks:
According to Bourgeois's assistant, Jerry Gorovoy, Bourgeois often referred to her drawings as "feather thoughts" and related them to memories.
