This composition is incorporated in five additional projects outside the "Les Étoiles" edition. One impression is part of a suite of 16 fabric collages from 2009 with the title "Eugénie Grandet." The star elements appear in the editioned work, "You are my Polar Star," as well as in the unique fabric collage, "Polar Star." The stars are enlarged through the digital printing process for two additional unique fabric collages: "The Long Night" and "The Long Night II." Other than the impression in the "Eugénie Grandet" suite, which is the same composition, the other works can be seen below in Related Works in the Catalogue.
Curatorial Remarks:
Due to the nature of the mounting and framing of this work, the verso could not be examined. In this case, the impression number was provided by the Louise Bourgeois Studio.
Other Remarks:
Louise Bourgeois's assistant, Jerry Gorovoy, has said that the composition for "Les Étoiles" came about through printing experiments undertaken by Raylene Marasco of Dyenamix. Bourgeois was pleased with this composition and decided to make an edition.
