- Background:
- Printer Felix Harlan of Harlan & Weaver traced Bourgeois's hands to create this composition. A photograph was taken of the process. Bourgeois later used this photograph to create a 2008 photogravure, also titled "Hands," seen in Related Works in the Catalogue.
