According to Publisher Harlan & Weaver, the 2 additional known impressions of state V, outside the edition, are printed in blue and dark blue. Both are inscribed "AP" in the artist's hand, but do not represent conventional A.P. impressions, which would be numbered. Images of those impressions are not available. - State Changes and Additions:
- Changes from state IV, in open bite etching: background filled in.
- Curatorial Remarks:
- The printer has confirmed that the background is open bite etching, which involves only acid and not rosin, which would be the case in aquatint.
Although the numbering of this untitled work suggests that it is part of a series, it is not part of a larger body of work.
