This printed composition appears in nos. 1 and 7, in the series, “Une Ballade dans la Campagne,” and also in “Je Rentre dans la Forêt (#2-3),” “Landscape (#1-3),” “Ma Maison Bleue" (verso), “Voyages au Bout,” and Untitled, 2008. Extensive hand additions and plate orientations vary, and some sheets include only partially printed elements of the composition. All are seen in the Evolving Composition Diagram.
"Ma Maison Bleue" (verso) is partially printed. The recto of the sheet is a drawing and is seen below in Related Works in Other Mediums.
Curatorial Remarks:
The color of the hand additions, plate size, and paper type could not be documented because this work is not in MoMA's Collection and could not be examined in person.
Two oval areas of the composition have been cut out. The holes are difficult to detect because the print is layered on top of another sheet with hand additions.
A fragment of this plate is found in the left edge of “Plant Study,” a drawing seen in Related Works in Other Mediums. The fragment is from the upper right area of the plate when viewed from the orientation of "Je Rentre dans la Forêt (#2)." The fragment shows some black aquatint markings and the plate mark is also visible.
