- Bourgeois created this composition, printed on paper, as a 2004 holiday gift for a circle of friends. In the same year, she created another composition on fabric, Untitled (Descriptive Title: Hand Holding Tree), for a selected, smaller group of friends.
- Curatorial Remarks:
- It should be noted that states II and III, and one variant of state IV, are printed on fabric but the edition was ultimately published on paper.
