- Curatorial Remarks:
- It appears that this composition was created on the same plate used for "Mud Slide" (see Related Works in the Catalogue). The dimensions of the plate marks are the same, and matching stray marks and wear to the plate are visible in both compositions. It is not possible to determine which of the compositions came first.
The dark portion of the impression appears to be due to ink added after the plate was wiped. - MoMA Credit Line:
