Series III. William C. Seitz Interview with Marcel Duchamp 1962 |
||
|
This collection contains two transcriptions of an interview conducted by William C. Seitz with Marcel Duchamp on December 6, 1962. One is annotated by the interviewee. The interview, in an edited and reduced version, was published in the May 1963 issue of Vogue.
Material in III.I was a gift to the Library on August 12, 1963 by William C. Seitz. According to a note by Library staff, four additional pages labeled with counter numbers 0000-050, were added in September 1967.
Material in III.II was a gift to the Library on September 1, 1967 by William S. Rubin.
The interviews and letter were transferred from the Library to the Museum Archives on May 3, 1999 and re-housed according to archival principles. |
