Documentation and transcriptions of seven lectures held at The Museum of Modern Art January - February 1974 in conjunction with the retrospective exhibition, Marcel Duchamp, [MoMA exh. #1050, 1973 Dec. 28 - Feb. 24, 1974.] Participants included George Heard Hamilton, Robert Lebel, Bert M-P. Leefmans, Ron Padgett, Theodore Reff, Arturo Schwarz, and Roger Shattuck.
The records are open for research and contain no restricted materials.
The Marcel Duchamp Lectures are the physical property of The Museum of Modern Art. Literary rights, including copyright belong to the authors or their legal heirs and assigns. Rights to work produced during the normal course of Museum business resides with The Museum of Modern Art. In addition, the Registrar and Curatorial exhibition files include materials pertaining to the organization of the exhibition.
The transcriptions and documentation were received by the Library in July 1976 and were transferred to the Museum Archives on Feb. 25, 1991. It is not known when the lectures were transcribed, or by whom.
