The International Program fosters relationships with other institutions worldwide, allowing MoMA staff to exchange knowledge with colleagues occupying similar roles internationally.
C-MAP and the International Curatorial Institute are major International Program initiatives that were created to establish links between MoMA and an international network of individuals and institutions. Notably, the C-MAP Central and Eastern Europe Group has a long-term partnership with the Muzeum Sztuki Łódź in Poland that includes staff exchanges in areas including curatorial, conservation, registration, exhibitions, and archives. In addition, support by the Trust for Mutual Understanding has enabled professional exchanges between MoMA and two major Russian institutions—the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. Selected staff members of the three institutions visit, learn, and share professional practices from the corresponding institutions.
