The MoMA Archives will be undertaking a project to process the Curt Valentin Papers to bring the collection in line with professional standards. While the Papers have previously been open for research, the inventory is inadequate. We now have the opportunity to fully arrange, catalog, and preserve the contents of the collection. The collection will be moved off-site for the project from May 2021 through approximately spring 2022 and will be unavailable for consultation. If you have pressing research needs involving this collection, we encourage you to submit scan-on-demand requests by mid-April, so that we can fulfill them prior to closing and moving the collection.
Please note, due to the extent and organization of the materials in unprocessed Series VII, scanning is not currently available for this series.
As a reminder, researchers may request digitization of an entire folder of archival material, which will be delivered as a single PDF. The requester must agree to the conditions of use, and the scans are made available for research purposes only. The fees for this service are $30 per folder for scholars, students, and nonprofit organizations, and $60 per folder for commercial entities. Researchers can request up to 10 folders in a six-month period. Requests should be submitted through the Archives online form.
