To me, contemporary art is a portrait (artistically, anything perceptible to the senses) with a meaning. My biggest artistic influences were and are the art of Salvador Dali and that of my grandfather. My personal art has the purpose of shocking people with images that they would never think of or imagine or even understand. At first look, I don't want anything in my art to make sense; I want for things to look relatively disconnected and for my audience to ask "why?" At some point, I want my audience to understand at least one good deep meaning. They are to read a sentence in a way that they wouldn't ever be able to read otherwise. They are to see things in my art as if they were looking through a distorted mirror
and connected the distortions to make one plausible image. At that point, if the audience is changed in any way, even to the slightest degree, the mission of my art has been accomplished.
