MR THOMAS: By the way, Nelson, I understand that the Museum works extensively in collaboration with the Federal government. Would you mind telling us about that?"
MR. ROCKEFELLER: I’d like to, but there’s someone here who can tell us a great deal better than I. He’s Edward Bruce, Chief of the Section of Fine Arts of the Treasury Department. Mr. Bruce, won’t you give us the Washington slant?
MR. BRUCE: I will say this, Mr. Rockefeller — as Chief of the Treasury Department of Fine Arts I have never asked for the cooperation of the Museum of Modern Art without receiving it heartily.
