The Education Center was built during the renovation of the Museum in 1984, and was redesigned to its present state in 1987. As a group reception area in the Museum, the Education Center serves as a venue for the Conversations with Contemporary Artists program as well as for video programs, houses special displays, and is where numerous courses for teachers, students, and the general public are held.
June Larkin, Museum Trustee and current chair of the Trustee Committee on Education, has graciously supported the center in memory of her father, Edward John Noble, and as a tribute to his commitment to education. Construction of the center and it's annual operation budget are funded by a generous grant from the Edward John Noble Foundation.
