2 MUSEUM SHOWS HEAD WEEK IN ART; Memorial Exhibition of Maurer Paintings and American Folk Sculpture Display Listed
Heading a busy week of exhibitions of painting and sculpture in New York are two important museum shows. Opening to the public on Saturday at the Whitney Museum is a memorial exhibition of the work of Alfred Maurer, the American painter who is associated with the early days of Cubism in Paris before 1914.
