GALA OPENING FOR SHOW OF HORST PHOTOS
By John DUKA
P AULINE TRIGERE'S nose hovered a quarter of an inch from the face of a Horst photograph hanging in the gallery while a photographer told her to hold that pose. In another room, a group of button-down art dealers and decorators discussed, between sips of white wine, the virtues of Horst, not sure, however, whether his name was just Horst or Horst Something. In a third room, a cross section of New York's society milled shoulder to shoulder, glanced at Horst's work and avoided serious talk. That's the way some openings are. Especially the event Tuesday night at the International Center of Photography, 94th Street and Fifth Avenue, an exhibition of the work of Horst P. Horst, born Horst Bohrmann but known simply as Horst, the legendary 78-year-old fashion photographer.
