Review/Art; Architectural Gadgetry In Installation at the Modern
LEAD: ''Para-Site,'' a multi-media installation on view in and around the Projects gallery at the Museum of Modern Art, suggests a style that might be called highbrow fun house and a subtitle that might read ''Dentists From Hell.'' Combining the latest in high-tech architectural gadgetry with aspects of 1970's installation art, ''Para-Site'' is the creation of Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio, two New York architects who also design site-specific installation work and, occasionally, performance pieces.
