China has entered the atomic age. At the Transport and Industry Exposition in Beijing, young people pore over a model of mechanical hands for the atomic industry. The first experimental reactor went into operation July 1, on the thirty-seventh anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party. A cyclotron has also been constructed—as in the case of the reactor—with Soviet aid.
