This creeping corner installation is made from hundreds of iron sickles, like those used by rural farmers for reaping wheat. Shambhavi commissioned these sickles to be made by a local blacksmith in her native Bihar, India, where agriculture is the primary industry. “Growing up in cities, we lose sight of the important role that farmers play in our lives,” the artist has said. “They feed and nourish us, they are vital and essential for all of us and therefore not far away from us.”
