This portfolio was produced in October of 2008 through a collaboration between the Democratic National Committee and the Gemini G.E.L. printing studio. The project supported the first presidential campaign of Barack Obama, who was elected one month following its release.

In 2018–19, MoMA collaborated with Google Arts & Culture Lab on a project using machine learning to identify artworks in installation photos. That project has concluded, and works are now being identified by MoMA staff.
