NFT stands for “non-fungible token,” a totally unique digital asset that is certified on a digital ledger, or blockchain. An NFT cannot be exchanged with an equivalent entity (the way one dollar bill is interchangeable with another). It can be used to digitally prove sole ownership of entities, including works of art.
