Now in its 39th year, the renowned New Directors/New Films festival, presented jointly by The Film Society of Lincoln Center and The Museum of Modern Art, introduces New York audiences to the work of emerging or not-yet-established filmmakers from around the world. All of the films in New Directors/New Films 2010 are having either US or New York premieres, and most of the screenings are introduced by the filmmakers. This year the festival takes place at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center and at The Roy and Niuta Titus Theater 1 at MoMA, where the festival opens on March 24. The full screening schedule

Tickets go on sale March 14 at Lincoln Center, at MoMA, and online. Tickets are $14 ($10 for Film Society and MoMA members and students; $12 for seniors). A Series Pass (five films, excluding opening- and closing-night films) are $60 ($40 for members and students, $50 for seniors). Opening- and closing-night films are $20 ($15 for members).
New Directors/New Films is organized by a selection committee comprising Jytte Jensen, Curator; Laurence Kardish, Senior Curator; and Rajendra Roy, The Celeste Bartos Chief Curator, Department of Film, The Museum of Modern Art; and Marian Masone, Associate Director of Programming; Richard Pena, Program Director; and Gavin Smith, Editor, Film Comment, and Program Associate, The Film Society of Lincoln Center.
