After being open to the public for four months, the Japanese Exhibition House closed for the winter on October 21, 1954. It reopened April 26, 1955, and remained on view for six more months, until October 15.

    How we identified these works

    In 2018–19, MoMA collaborated with Google Arts & Culture Lab on a project using machine learning to identify artworks in installation photos. That project has concluded, and works are now being identified by MoMA staff.
