Over its 20 seasons, Warm Up has featured more than 750 artists, including pop artists Solange, Jamie XX, and Grimes, experimental musicians Arca, Black Dice, and Four Tet, and legendary DJs like DJ Premier, Richie Hawtin, and Kim Ann Foxman. As one of the longest-running music programs within a museum, Warm Up has a history of supporting emerging artists and providing a platform for experimentation, unique collaborations, and new material.

An integral part of MoMA PS1’s contemporary program, Warm Up provides an opportunity to engage with today’s most experimental and innovative artists across media. Audiences are encouraged to visit the exhibition galleries and experience MoMA PS1’s diverse exhibitions of emerging artists, new genres, and adventurous work by recognized artists. Warm Up 2017 will take place within a site-specific installation by Young Architects Program winner Jenny Sabin Studio made of photoluminescent textiles that transform over the course of a day.

Click here for information on Warm Up 2017.

Produced by P.S.1 Director of Operations and Exhibitions Antoine Guerrero and curated by Jason “DJ Spun” Drummond (Rong Music) and Zach Layton (Issue Project Room), Warm Up 2009 will offer a wide-scale program of bands, DJs, and musical experimenters who will take the stage for ten Saturdays over the summer.

Generous funding for Warm Up 2009 is provided by agnès b. and by The Junior Associates of The Museum of Modern Art. Special thanks to Union Beer and Jay Benach.

Additional support is provided by the Bertha and Isaac Liberman Foundation, Jeffrey and Michèle Klein, Agnes Gund, The Contemporary Arts Council of The Museum of Modern Art, and Con Edison.
