There’s Always Tomorrow (aka Too Late for Love). 1934. USA. Directed by Edward Sloman. 86 min.

The least known of the many Universal melodramas of the 1930s remade in the 1950s by Douglas Sirk, this is a moving, late film by the veteran director Edward Sloman, who may have identified with its central character—a middle-aged man (Frank Morgan, far from the cuddly codger he played in The Wizard of Oz) who, feeling stifled by his family, falls under the spell of a former business associate (Binnie Barnes).
