This gallery session explores how Latin American and Eastern European artists connected during the Cold War to create countercultural movements emphasizing art functioning outside of the market system. Attempting to look beyond traditional Western art history, discussions will focus on radical and imaginative creations that sought to present alternative sociopolitical views of the world.

Join us for lively conversations and engaging activities, facilitated by Museum educators, that offer insightful and unusual ways to engage with collections and special exhibitions.
