- Introduction
- In 1865, Koppmann founded a photographic studio with a Mr. Seyfarth in Hamburg. From 1866, Koppmann was the sole owner of the business. After 1872, the building department in Hamburg commissioned Koppmann to record historically important houses, streets and squares which were being demolished to enlarge the harbour.
