Introduction
Monika Sosnowska (born 7 May 1972 in Ryki) is a Polish installation artist. In 2003 she received the Bâloise Prize at Art Basel as well as the Polityka's Passport award given by Poland's most prestigious weekly.

Introduction
Sosnowska attended both the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. Her work examines the physical relationships that exist between the viewer, the work, and the exhibition space. Her large-scale sculptures and installations, which encourage viewer participation and interaction, intentionally walk the line between art and architecture.
