Admission is free for all visitors during UNIQLO Free Friday Nights, held every Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tickets for UNIQLO Free Friday Nights are not available in advance. Your UNIQLO Free Friday Night ticket permits you to all other Museum galleries, exhibitions, and films.

Sculpture Garden Mornings

The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden is open free of charge daily, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., except in inclement weather and during maintenance.

Film Admission

Admission to the day's film program is free for Museum ticket holders, but separate screening tickets are required. A film admission ticket does not include admission to the Museum galleries. The price of a film admission ticket may be applied toward the price of a Museum admission ticket or MoMA membership within 30 days.

During UNIQLO Free Friday Nights, film tickets are free from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Film Tickets

Screening tickets are released one week in advance starting at 9:30 a.m. at the main lobby information desk and online.

There is an advance charge of $1 for Museum members and $2 for the general public if tickets are purchased one day or more in advance. The onsite advance reservation fee is waived for contributing and Film Plus members. There is no advance reservation fee for tickets purchased on the day of the screening. Day-of screening tickets are subject to availability.

Theater Information

Bags larger than 11 x 14" are not permitted in the theaters. There is no bag check and filmgoers with such items will be turned away. We appreciate your understanding and compliance.

Admittance to the theater is not permitted more than 15 minutes after the program has begun.

Sound-enhancement systems are available free of charge at the film desk.

For screenings held in the Museum's Theaters 1 and 2 (The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters 1 and 2), use The Ronald S and Jo Carole Lauder Building entrance, east of the main entrance on 53rd Street. Use The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building entrance on 54th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues for screenings held in Theater 3 (The Celeste Bartos Theater).

*Individual, Student, National/International, and Artist members: one ticket per screening. Dual and Family members: one ticket per cardholder per screening. Contributing Level Members, Fellow, and above: up to five tickets per cardholder per screening.

**Members may purchase additional guest tickets at $5 each. Guests must be accompanied by the card-holding member in order to gain admittance.

Visiting Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs

October 12, 2014–February 10, 2015

Non-members are required to have timed tickets for Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs. Tickets are available through Showclix.com.​ In order to streamline the entry process, visitors are strongly encouraged to print their online tickets at home.

MoMA members and their accompanied guests can enter the exhibition at any time by showing a valid membership card or guest ticket. No timed tickets are required for members. MoMA members also enjoy previews of all major exhibitions before they open to the public. Join MoMA today.

Corporate Members can receive access to this special exhibition in a number of ways. Please check the Corporate Membership Employee Benefits page for ticketing policies and information.

Visitors with CityPASS, New York Pass, and other special ticket vouchers can pick up a timed ticket on the day of their visit. A limited number of these same-day timed tickets will be available at the Museum on a first-come, first-served basis.

During Uniqlo Free Friday Nights, timed tickets are required for entry to Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs. Timed tickets will be distributed at the Museum on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance tickets are not available for Uniqlo Free Friday Nights.

Matisse Extended Hours

Late weekends
January 17–18 & January 24–25, open until 8:00 p.m.

The entire Museum will remain open and regular admission pricing applies. Timed tickets are required for nonmembers. Cafe 2 and Terrace 5 will remain open until 6:00 p.m.

Final Weekend

Friday, February 6, 10:30 a.m.–Sunday, February 8, 5:30 p.m.

After regular Museum hours only Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs will be open; admission is: adults $12, seniors $10, full-time students with current ID $8; children (16 and under) and members free. Exclusive Member Early Hours take place on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Timed tickets are required for nonmembers. On February 8, Cafe 2 and Terrace 5 will remain open until 6:00 p.m.
