A special program just for tweens and their families. Families with children ages eleven to fourteen are introduced to silver screen classics and cutting-edge contemporary films.
Women in Animation
Come explore different animation techniques, from early silhouette animation to computer-generated imagery (CGI) as we pay homage to Women in Animation. We’ll learn about the unique role of female animators across film history and consider how the experiences of contemporary women animators may influence their films.
Admission is free. Tickets are distributed on the day of the program only, on a first-come, first-served basis.
This program is for individual families of up to two adults and three children. You do not need to purchase a ticket if you are accompanying a child to this program.
Tickets are distributed beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the reception desk in The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, at 4 West Fifty-fourth Street (near Fifth Avenue). Tickets will also be distributed at the information desk in the Museum's main lobby from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the program.
