    1951. USA. Directed by Ida Lupino. Screenplay by Martha Wilkerson, based on the novel Mother of a Champion, by John R. Tunis. With Claire Trevor, Sally Forrest. Long before Martina Navratilova and the Williams sisters hit it big, fictional tennis sensation Florence Farley waged war on the court—and against her über-ambitious mother.
