1931. France. Directed by Léon Mathot. Screenplay by René Pujol, Albert Willemetz. Music by Casimir Oberfield. With Georges Milton, Mona Goya, Louis Kerly, Lily Zévaco, Raymond Guérin-Catelain. This early sound film stars popular singer Milton as Bouboule, a character who reappears in other films of the 1930s. Bouboule’s taxi cab is stolen by a woman, but it all ends happily, as many French comedies do, after several songs on the Riviera. In French; English subtitles. 95 min.
