    1976. France. Directed by Yves Robert. Screenplay by Jean-Loup Dabadie, Robert. With Jean Rochefort, Claude Brasseur, Guy Bedos, Victor Lanoux, Danièle Delorme. One of France’s most beloved comedies is ostensibly about the friendship of a group of guys, but the film really shines in its portrayal of men’s irresistible tendency to remain boys, perpetually outmaneuvered in the war of the sexes. 110 min.
