    2004. Argentina. Directed by Lisandro Alonso. With Argentino Vargas, Francisco Dornez. Alonso’s second feature is centered on the journey of a released convict who moves through a sweltering jungle to reunite with his family. The film has a mysterious dream logic and richly observed details. In Spanish; English subtitles. 73 min.

    2006. Argentina. Directed by Lisandro Alonso. With Argentino Vargas, Misael Saavedra. In this commentary on cinematic rituals, the star of Alonso’s earlier film, Los Muertos (Vargas), wanders through the Argentine cinématèque in Buenos Aires, Teatro San Martín, searching for the film premiere in which he is the star. In Spanish; English subtitles. 63 min.
