    1948. USA. Directed by John Huston. Screenplay by Huston, Richard Brooks, based on the play by Maxwell Anderson. With Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall. A war veteran (Bogart) visiting a Florida hotel run by an old friend’s widow (Bacall) finds himself besieged by gangsters who hole up at the establishment to wait out a hurricane. After meeting on To Have and Have Not (1944), Bacall’s acting debut, the legendary lovers “Bogie and Bacall” went on to such memorable collaborations such as The Big Sleep (1946), Dark Passage (1947), and this, their final film together. 100 min.
