    1961. USA. Directed by Roger Corman. Screenplay by Richard Matheson, based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe. With Vincent Price, John Kerr, Barbara Steele. Price, Tim Burton’s childhood idol and professional muse, stars in this psychologically and viscerally terrifying tale of torture, in which the (Spanish Inquisitorial) sins of the father are revisited upon the son. 80 min.
