    2009. USA. Directed by Todd Phillips. Screenplay by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. With Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha. This Las Vegas bachelor-party-meets-roadtrip film is quite possibly the funniest movie of the year, and yet it’s still a little sad. Less a “whodunit” than a “what'd we do?," The Hangover explodes narrative expectations (is that really Mike Tyson with a tiger?) as it confirms every bride’s worst fears; left to their own devices, boys really will behave badly. At the same time it exposes “acting out” for what it is: a desperate longing for home. 99 min.
