A History of Violence
2005. USA/Canada. Directed by David Cronenberg. With Viggo Mortensen. Adapted from the graphic novel by John Wagner, Vince Locke. Tom and Edie Stall run a modest diner in a quiet Indiana town. One night a few patrons get out of control and Tom is forced to defend his establishment. The local paper and TV station pick up on the heroic story, making Tom very uncomfortable with the attention. That’s when mysterious heavy Carl Fogarty comes to town and tries to get under Tom’s skin. 96 min.
