  • Intolerable Cruelty

2003. USA. Directed by Joel Coen. Screenplay by Joel Coen, Ethan Coen. With George Clooney, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Miles Massey is a successful divorce attorney in Los Angeles. He wins every case he tries and his client usually winds up with a huge pile of alimony. Everyone wants Miles, but he’s going through a bit of a midlife crisis and seems to be losing his edge. Enter Marilyn, a possible gold-digger who, thanks to Massey’s clever courtroom antics, winds up with nothing in her divorce settlement. Ever heard the old expression, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?” 100 min.
