Night Nurse
1931. USA. Directed by William A. Wellman. With Joan Blondell, Barbara Stanwyck. An example of the kind of supporting role Blondell played before her big break in Blondie Johnson (1933), this was the actress’s tenth role in the first year of her film career. She is a perfect gum-chewing sidekick to her real-life friend Stanwyck, and both were apparently enamored of their co-star, the young Clark Gable. 72 min.
