From gripping testimonials by young women who have undergone the procedure to interviews with elderly matriarchs who stubbornly defend the practice, Longinotto paints a complex portrait of the polemics and conflicts surrounding the issue. The documentary follows the work of Nurse Fardhosa, who is educating communities in attempt to fight the tradition of female circumcision. 92 min.
