2008. Germany. Written and directed by Christian Klandt. With Gerdy Zint, Florian Bartholomai, Karoline Schuch. Klandt's debut feature is based on a brutal real-life assault in a provincial town in eastern Germany. It is hardly the "world city" of the film's title, but like many other communities where jobs are few and teenagers are bored, suppressed rage might suddenly explode—perhaps even understandably. The film follows a group of young people over the twenty-four hours leading up to the crime. In German; English subtitles. 104 min.
