In this adaptation of the German novel and 1917 Broadway play, a priestess of the Babylonian goddess Ishtar lures a simple Jewish shepherd into an orgiastic life of pleasure. Escaping temptation—and the city's prophesied destruction—he returns to his family for the Feast of the Fatted Calf. Silent. Approx. 15 min.
