    1927. USA. Directed by Raoul Walsh. With Dolores del Rio, Don Alvarado, Victor McLaglen. In this adaptation of the 1845 Prosper Mérimée story that became Georges Bizet's opera Carmen, a frivolous young woman spurns the love of a passionate soldier in favor of a famous toreador, with tragic consequences. Silent. Approx. 86 min.
