The Lost World
1925. USA. Directed by Harry O. Hoyt. With Bessie Love, Lewis Stone. Based on the novel by Arthur Conan Doyle. A precursor to the Jurassic Park films, The Lost World follows a British explorer as he leads an expedition into the Amazon to prove the existence of a lost world of prehistoric animals and ape-men. He returns to London with a dinosaur—which promptly goes on a rampage. In this rare instance, Madalena's poster abandoned human celebrities in favor of larger-than-life monsters. Silent. Approx. 102 min.
