1925. USA. Directed by James Cruze. With Edward Everett Horton, Esther Ralston. Based on the Broadway comedy by George S. Kaufman, Marc Connelly. Circumstances force an unsuccessful composer of classical music to write jazz and forsake his love for an impoverished artist in favor of marriage to a wealthy woman, until an expressionistic nightmare brings him to his senses. Madalena's poster is modeled on a press photograph taken from the film's famed dream sequence. Only an incomplete print of this feature survives. Silent. 35 min.
