1976. USA. Directed by Bill Viola. In terming these video segments "songs," Viola references the relationship of his work to musical structures and to the poetics of Romanticism. 33 min.

  • Hatsu Yume (First Dream)

1981. USA. Directed by Bill Viola. A startlingly beautiful, metaphorical work, First Dream unfolds like a dreamlike trance.
