The Velvet Underground
1966. USA. Directed by Andy Warhol. The legendary Warhol "house band," the Velvet Underground, rehearses at the Factory for an upcoming performance. The film was apparently intended to be projected behind the band during an Exploding Plastic Inevitable, one of Warhol's multimedia presentations of the rock and roll band. In the film's latter half, the rehearsal is interrupted by New York City police responding to a noise complaint. 66 min.
